The guy has been my favorite player for the Sabres ever since his rookie year (which was about 3 years ago). He's finally becoming the leader the Sabres wanted him to be when they were forced to sign him to a large 50 million dollar contract this summer. Last night he scored 3 goals, consecutively (a natural hat trick) to lead a comeback over the Tampa Bay Lightning with about 2 minutes to go. I was at the game, and when he scored that OT winner, I wanted to jump off the nosebleed section, but figured that was a horrible idea. But yea. ... just felt like blogging about that.
